Anyone renting a bike carrier or a rear box for the tow bar usually asks themselves first: is my tow bar's nose weight enough? With two e-bikes weighing 22 to 30 kilograms each it gets tight fast. With a fully loaded rear box just as much.

That's why we built the nose weight calculator. Whether it's a bike carrier with one or two e-bikes or a rear box for your luggage: enter the values, see the answer in seconds.

What the calculator does

Three values have to add up: your tow bar's rated nose weight, the carrier or rear box's own weight, and what goes on top (bikes or luggage). From the total you see straight away whether the combination works or whether you need to adjust.

The nose weight rating is printed on the type plate at the neck of the tow bar, or in your vehicle documents, field 13. Carrier and rear box weights are listed on our rental product pages.
