400 litres of extra storage at the rear
The Arcos L is a good choice when the boot no longer holds all your luggage and you would rather not switch to a roof box.
At 400 litres it offers more storage than our BackSpace XT with 300 litres, while staying noticeably more compact than the Arcos XL.
Mounted at the rear, the box loads and unloads at a comfortable height. The roof stays free.
You need a suitable tow bar with sufficient nose weight.
Luggage for holidays and trips
With 400 litres the Arcos L takes bags, suitcases and other travel luggage that no longer fits inside the car.
The interior length is around 140 cm, which makes the box right for ordinary travel luggage.
For noticeably longer items such as skis, the Arcos XL is the better variant.
Flat hard shell, boot stays reachable
The Arcos L has a rigid hard shell and, at 54 cm high, a comparatively flat build.
Unlike our BackSpace XT it needs no tilt mechanism to reach the boot. The low profile keeps the tailgate accessible in normal use.
Compared with the BackSpace XT the Arcos L offers 100 litres more volume.
Against the Arcos XL it is shorter and more compact. If you want to carry particularly long items or skis, the XL is the better fit.
